Vocalist and Minnesota native Nichola Miller had been living in New York for the past few years but it never felt like home. Nichola has since relocated to the Twin Cities. And she wasted no time getting back into the local jazz scene.
Rick Carlson taught himself how to play the piano by studying the vast works of Count Basie and Duke Ellington, absorbing their techniques. Rick has been the pianist for the Wolverines Classic Jazz Orchestra since 1980, has opened for Rosemary Clooney and counts Madeleine Peyroux among his many fans. One of the favorite (and best) accompanists to singers in the Twin Cities.
