American (Poetry Slam) Idol - A favorite American television show becomes a favorite of the summer Slams in a hilarious poetic parody. Three rounds of crazy performance poetry with commentary on each poem by a celebrity panel (TBA). Yep – our very own Paula, Simon and Randy will be on hand to mock or praise each poem.

Round 1) The Audition Round -  The poet’s worst poem – performed as poorly as possible.
Round 2) The Cover Round -   Poets cover a piece by a favorite poet or songwriter.
Round 3) The Final Round - The poets best poem – performed as well as possible.

Anyone can sign up to compete. Costumes are not only allowed – but encouraged.
