The soulful and hard bopping saxophonist Gary Berg hits cool number 70. Gary has heated up recordings of several Twin Cities luminaries, including Carole Martin’s Pieces of Dreams, the Billy Holloman-led This is Organ Night, Paula Lammers’ A Blanket of Blue and George Avaloz’s The Highest Mountain. It’s always a treat when he steps to the front of the stage, and it’s a night for celebration.
