The highly anticipated release of Happy Apple’s new CD Back on Top (Sunnyside Records) finds the lads, well, back on top. Not that they ever abandoned that post. Entering the second decade of their melodic-yet-quixotic (in a good way) musical journey, the Apples weld rock dynamics and aural humor to their space probe of inter-stellar jazz grooves.
