This bumper sticker-worthy tribute salutes the upcoming 93rd anniversary of the birth of a visionary pianist. Thelonious Monk’s singular style was not immediately accepted – he was one of those geniuses with his own sound (requiring the rest of the world a while to catch up). 
The rest of the world did catch up, of course, and his brilliant compositions (“’Round Midnight”, “Well, You Needn’t”, “Rhythm-A-Ning”) and angular, irresistible style made him one of the most revered names in jazz. (Monk: b - Oct. 10, 1917, d - Feb. 17, 1982.) Some of MN’s best celebrate WWMD.
