Friday, 03 May 2013

DaniloPerez, John Patitucci, Adam Cruz - TCJF After Party 2011
Ever since the Twin CIties Jazz Festival arrived in St Paul, the Artists' Quarter has been a venue for jazz festival events and legendary "After Fest Party" jam sessions. We will be jumping every evening during the festival, especially after the main stage at Mears Park closes for the after-party on Friday and Saturday night. Don't just take our word for it, here is what Downbeat Magazine called us " the choice after-hours destination for fans and performers from the Twin Cities Jazz Festival." in there guide to the best 150 Jazz Club's for 2013.

About the Artists' Quarter
Tuesday, 09 December 2008

ImageTucked in the basement level of a historic St. Paul building, the Artists' Quarter has a subterranean, classic vibe evoking a bygone era.  The club is owned by working jazz musicians, who designed a sound, look and feel for the optimal live experience.  Whether presenting a legend like Roy Haynes (who recorded the live CD Whereas at the club) or a rising star from the Twin Cities scene, the AQ takes its jazz very seriously.  Don’t despair the lack of a kitchen – the friendly AQ staff will set you up with food delivered by nearby restaurants.
