Sunday, May 18, Closed for a private event

The Artists' Quarter is a great place to hold your company or personal party. It is perfect for groups of up to 150 people who want a state of the art sound system, concert grand piano, amplifiers, PA system and more. Friday, May 16 - Saturday, May 17, Bruce Henry (9 pm, $10).

Bruce Henry’s deep and eclectic jazz vocals have been heard throughout the world to glowing reviews and converted audiences. Thursday, May 15, Dave Karr Quartet (9 pm, $5)

For over 50 years, saxophonist/flutist/clarinetist/composer Dave Karr has been performing with many of the best national and Twin Cities jazz artists. The NYC native grew up seeing the great jazz legends like Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, and he got the bug. Karr moved to the Twin Cities in his twenties, and has long established himself as one of the best-loved characters in the jazz scene. Whether he’s in the orchestra of a touring Broadway hit, providing flourishes to the shows of top Twin Cities singers, leading his Gerry Mulligan tribute band on baritone sax or fronting his own quartet, Karr is a standout. “[Dave's] fluid style is both exciting and elegant,” JazzPolice.com. Wednesday, May 14, Twin Cities Hot Club (9 pm, $5)

“Some 68 years ago the broadcaster Ed Morrow bridged time to introduce all of us to The Hot Club of France with Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. Now, at this moment, you can bridge that time and space with the Twin Cities Hot Club. Their passion, scholarship and skilled musicianship take you back to those days at Bricktop’s Cabaret in Paris. The Twin Cities Hot Club performs gypsy Jazz in the tradition of Django and Stephane played by four of Minnesota's hottest string jazz masters: Robert Bell, Reynold Philipsek, Gary Schulte, and Matt Senjem.
